The Canteen Steps
The canteen steps were a major landmark on Kimpton Road before it was extensively re-developed for the expanded Vauxhall car plant . All that now remains of the existing building are the bronze plaques of the war memorial which has been re-sited on Kimpton Road. Further development of this area is now planned.
